So you want to trade a total of 512MB of RAM for the more expensive (and rare) total of 1GB of RAM?
New:
Thinkpad T430s 8GB DDR3, 1600x900, 128GB + 250GB SSD's, etc.
Old:
E6520, Precision M4400, D630, Latitude E6520
ThinkPad Tablet 16GB 1838-22U
IBM Thinkpad X61T, T61, T43, X41T, T60, T41P, T42, T410, X301

The low-density 256MB PC100 Sodimm's are getting rarer by the day!
PC133 Sodimms are widely available.
There is very little price difference between a stick of each type! (~ $20-22)
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)

I think old sparky forgot to mention that the 256MB modules he's got listed are low density (TP600, T20-T22, etc.), which makes them "more expensive (and rare)" than the 512MB PC133.
Current Thinkpads: 600E, 600X, 701C, A31 (Flexview), R51 (Flexview), R60, T42P (Flexview), TR50E, T60 (Flexview), X61s (Ultralight), Z61m (Ti) Non-Thinkpad: Toshiba 100ct
