WTB: X200 keyboard, FRU #42T3737

#1 Post by ThinkRob » Tue Jan 19, 2010 3:54 pm

Does anyone have a spare one of these keyboards that they'd be willing to part with?

As some of you may know, there are at least two different types of keyboards for the X200(s), one of which has considerably more flex. The fates have not smiled upon my machine, and I've been landed with one of the flexy ones. I've tried to track down the non-flexy FRU on eBay, but I just ended up finding a bunch of Chinese sellers who, despite explicitly listing specific FRU numbers in their advertisements, only offer "compatible" parts, i.e. not keyboards with an FRU of 42T3737 (a fact which I discovered after wasting 30 pounds only to get another flexy keyboard.)

For comparison sake, the two keyboard backplates may be seen here: http://img513.imageshack.us/i/x200ay0.jpg/

The one at the top is FRU 42T3737, the one I'm after. The one at the bottom is the flexy style keyboard that I already have.

If anyone knows of a way to get my hands on an X200(s) keyboard with a backplate like the top one (or even tips on how to go about finding a seller who can set me up with one), I'd love to hear it. :)

Thanks in advance!
