#1 Post by ryan1212 » Thu Nov 12, 2009 7:04 pm

is it normal for the imprint of the trackpoint to be in the middle of the screen? Is this damaging?

It's not damaging, but it is a bit annoying. With the 14" models, if you regularly carry them in a tight case, where the LCD constantly presses against the trackpoint, the marks eventually become permanent. You can use a better protected case, or a special screen protector to avoid that. The 15" models tend to be thicker and with stronger lids, so it does not happen as much, although if you really squeeze them, it will.
