Best Graphics Driver for W7x32 on T60 1953 E4U?

Hi folks,

I've searched around but I'm still confused as to the proper source for the graphics driver for the T60 1953 E4U.

It has the Mobile Intel 945GM Express graphics in it. Do I get it from an Intel site or use a Vista driver from Lenovo? I think I've seen both solutions mentioned, each with some caveats.

Any suggestions appreciated. Also looking for correct Presentation Director edition to use... didn't come up on my driver download search for this model under W7. Is there no solution?

Have you already installed Win7? If so, I would imagine Windows Update would find the Intel driver on its own with no prodding. That said, I have an ATI machine, so I can't be sure.

I have now installed Windows7 and it did indeed find an Intel update and it all seems to be doing fine. I'm used to ATI machines where I need to get either a download from ATI or from the system vendor, and it frequently is important to choose the right source.

Nice to see in this case it "just works."

Same goes for sound drivers. I am still looking for presentation director for W7 for T60, which is convenient but not required...

If I remember correctly, Lenovo ceased development on Presentation Director for Windows 7 citing
that Windows 7 does a better job of it.
