GTA not working in Win7

#1 Post by uncle fani » Fri Nov 27, 2009 6:04 pm

I recently installed win 7 ultimate alongside my xp pro and I'm trying to get my GTA San Andreas working on it. It works fine in xp but after installing it in win 7, when i try to run it, i get an error message saying "Please remove disc from current CD/DVD drive and insert the original disc in another drive?" I've tried running it compatibility mode and upgrading drivers nothing has worked so far.

I installed GTA San Andreas fine on my T61 with Quadro 140M, The T61 is loaded with Win7 Home Premium.

You have browse the install disk, right click the setup.exe file. Then go to the compatibility tab, and set it to "XP SP2".

Then rightclick the setup.exe and click "Run as administrator".

I also used a no-cd crack, because i used the ISO file on my HDD to install the game.
You can find an no-cd crack for GTA: San Andreas here: http://m0008.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc ... reas.shtml

Some information about no-cd cracks: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No-CD_crack (i believe it is legal to use a no-cd crack)
