X200 Tablet questions RE: multi-touch, comparison w/X61T

#1 Post by elee532 » Fri Nov 27, 2009 7:54 pm

I am considering the upgrade from X61t to X200T. I would appreciate any responses to a few of the questions I have...

Does the brighter screen that is being referenced in this thread also come with the multi-touch version?

When lying flat on a table in a room with overhead lights, I have found the readability of the X61T to be lacking. I use my tablet often than i would like because of this. Is the X200t any better in this regard?

Is there more than one version of the multi-touch screen?

Any idea how the X200T multi-touch compares to the Dell XT2 multi-touch?

When shopping at the Lenovo outlet, how can I tell which x200T's come with the multi-touch screen?

Does the X200t use the same UltraBase as the x61T?

Any idea whether ejecting from the base is any faster with the X200T compared to the X61T? The 20 to 30 second wait causes me to skip using my X61 Tablet when i am rushing off to a quick meeting or when I am in a rush.

Thanks!

I can only answer a couple:
Does the X200t use the same UltraBase as the x61T?
No. It uses the same Ultrabase as the rest of the X200 series - the X200 Ultrabase:

Personally, I never use the eject buttons (does the ultrabase even have one?), nor the Fn+F9 software eject combination. I just yank it off. Granted, I haven't tried it with an X series machine, but the T42/T60 rarely complain...
Current: X220 4291-4BG, T410 2537-R46, T60 1952-F76, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G
Collectibles: T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X32 (IPS Screen)
Retired: X61 7673-V2V, A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad
Past: Z61t 9440-A23, T60 2623-D3U, X32 2884-M5U

I'm gonna have to give this a try. Thanks!
