For sale is my ThinkPad X61s. I purchased this 2nd hand and have owned it for about a year now. I've realized I only use this system as a desktop docked to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse so it's kind of a waste for me. I want to sell this to someone who will use it as a true ultra-portable power machine it was designed to be :). I have replaced this with a standard desktop, making this the first time since 1998 that my primary computer wasn't a ThinkPad :(. (Luckily I still have some of my historic ThinkPad museum pieces to keep my in the TP family)

Here are the details:
7668-CTO
Intel Core2Duo L7500 1.6GHz
Mobile Intel 965 Graphics
2 GB RAM
12.1" 1024x768 Ultralight LCD (Yes, this is the good one!)
320 GB 7200rpm HD (Upgraded)
8-cell battery (12 cycle count, Shows a full capacity of 74.88Wh/74.88Wh)
Bluetooth
Fingerprint reader
X6 Dock w/ DVD-MultiRecorder
Intel 82566MM Gigabit Ethernet
Intel 4965AGN Wireless (no WWAN)
WindowsXP Pre-install (possibly Win7 upgrade - We can discuss)

Unfortunately, the warranty expired Sep 2008. The machine is very clean. Minimal markings on the lid and a slight shine on the keyboard. The system has been docked for over half a year and during that time, the built-in LCD and keyboard were almost never used.

I'm not sure exactly how to price this system, so feel free to make offers. But I'm going to start with $750 shipped and paypal'ed to the 48 states.

In case you are curious, here are the Windows Experience Index scores (Run under Win7)
Processor: 4.4
Memory (RAM): 4.8
Graphics: 3.5
Gaming Graphics: 3.1
Primary Hard Disk: 5.8

Here is the original parts list from Lenovo. Remember, some parts may have been upgraded.

Just curious: you say it has Intel 4965AGN. But I have been told (and read on various forums) that no X61s could have the N, even though its specifications say so, because it's impossible for it to have 3 antennas. Many X61s machines sold by Lenovo turned out to not have AGN as claimed by its specs. So I wonder, does your machine actually indeed have AGN? Have you seen 3 antennas in use, and does your system info show AGN instead of AG?

I have a X60s with abgn. As far as I can tell, it only had two antennas (left and right) and the WWAN antenna.

N can operate at both 5 and 2.4GHz. I've connected my X60s to both g and n, but I don't know what frequency it was using for n.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response. I am back and will be checking this post regularly as I would like this computer sold.

I've never had an opportunity to connect this computer to an 'N' network as I still have only 802.11G. But, according to the Windows device manager as well as the MAC address sticker on the bottom of the computer, it is an Intel 4965AGN. I haven't removed the palmrest so I do not know how many antennas it has.
