Good evening:
For some odd reason my USB hard drive is not showing up when I plug in. I'm using Windows 7 in my ThinkPad. I tried it with my home PC which is running XP and it shows up.
Also, I was able to use the USB HD in my ThinkPad a couple of weeks ago, so this is a new issue.
Any ideas

Re: USB Hard Drive not showing up
What model is that USB HD? (not that it should really matter...)
Do you use any registry cleaners? I had been successful a few times to make USB ports or specific USB devices unusable under XP or Vista setup by blindfold using such programs. Only OS reinstall solved the issues.
Maybe you need to initialize the disk in Windows 7 (again): Admin Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management.
Any sharing or view limitations or account limitations on the USB drive? (Try to access the drive as admin if you haven´t already).

Re: USB Hard Drive not showing up
Problem solved.
For some reason, the drive letters for my USB drive were hidden. All is good.
Thanks for your advise.
