why does shipping (airmail) cost so much with this buyer! 20 buks to get a 100 gram sleeve from china to The netherlands!!!!! (is he insane?).
Is here anybody who is willing to lets say ship 10 sleeves to him in china, and that cheaply shipped to my place? (so I can ship them for like 3 dollars.

ohh, there are different ones. Targus makes them for IBM and Fujitsu.

I, for instance, have a ThinkPad sleeve made from Samsonite

called 900 Series / Vanquish MPC Cases

very sturdy, better than neoprene, and....
...HAS THE GORGEOUS IBM ThinkPad Sticker on it.

The shipping costs from China are prohibitive.

Wow. I can't understand anything on eBay.de.

Is that the same sleeve though as mentioned earlier in the thread? Wish I could get one of those too. Let us know how yours is when you get it.

Is this what you're looking for?

http://cgi.ebay.com.cn/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... gory=95384

I suppose someone who can communicate in Chinese might be able to order a few directly from the manufacturer...

Agreed, the "original" ones have a flap of "red velvet"; no zipper!

Be skeptic of what you buy from China (direct) they tend to make KNOCK-OFF's!!!

A little story...

I purchased some shoes (from China, knock-off's) just to show and tell! They were marked "Recbok" were the C looked almost like the "trademark" e! If you do not place close attention...you can get scammed. Some other scammers will print the actual name of the company..hence a "true" knock-off!

I am confident that there will be no problem with the order i made first the seller has great communication skills and also the feednack is excelent where he did not achieve the satisfaction of the buyer he made something to fix it. Also he send some "free" stuff as an extra!!

Anyway i will see what i receive if i don't like it i will post it here.

The shipment confirmation was sent to me with the tracking details so i expect to receive it in five more days.

The one that cmarti ordered on eBay is unfortunately the same as the one I linked to in my post dated 3:24 a.m., which juancferrer's post describes (accurately) as complete unlike the ones linked by the original poster. Juancferrer is right, and I should have seen that earlier.

how much are you all willing to pay for these btw? Just seeing it would make sense to continue searching for a source.

I'd have bought one of those in an instant if they were available when I bought my Shinza sleeve.

I might pay $20-30 for one.

I like this one better (It is for an X series I know, but I like the style)

I found a supplier and ordered 20 of the ones that you all are drooling over. Guy says about 10-14 days for them to get to me, so I'll update you all when I get them in. I ended up order 20 to cut down on shipping costs, which still ended up costing almost as much as the entire order!

Not sure if I'm allowed to post that I will be selling them here....so if not, keep a headsup on ebay or wherever in a couple weeks as I'll post them there

So this sleeve is for the 14.1" or the 15" T series machines (or both?)?

I for one want one if they fit the 15" size.

they are for the 14.1", I tried getting the 15" model, but the guy said he was temporarily out of stock. I can try to get some next time if I place another order (assuming I am able to sell the first 20).

I only ordered the ones for the 14.1", which I'm sure will fit the X series, but it would be loose I'm sure. I think there is a 12.1"-13" model , but I am not sure if the guy has any of them. I will inquire about them if I place another order.

no clue on either question as of yet...I will let you all know when it comes in. I am pretty sure it is neoprene (from the ebay auction that someone posted earlier), but I can be 100% sure once they arrive.

As for pricing, I have to figure out something that will be fair to both you all and me. Have to figure out how much paypal is going to take out + the advertising fee that I'll be paying thinkpads.com to sell them here. I'll have everything figured out once the order arrives (theres always a chance that I could be getting scammed with the order...so I dont want to count my chickens before the eggs hatch :P )
