lenovo Rescue and Recovery software

How do I install Rescue and Recovery software on my ThinkPads? My ThinkPad 380Z has a 20GB HDD and left a 1.5GB free partition Local Disk E: When I go to install it everything goes well during the install, "Never install R&R before, first time using it" I get this error message. "'There is not enough free space in the boot sector"
How do I go of installing this?
