HI
I have a 600X and l would like to run it through my LCD flat screen. Do not need audio, just video.
I am running 2000 pro.
In the LCD booklet it does mention using XP only.
Can l use the video out connector directly to the TV or better yet use
the serial connector (9 pin) to the TV.
Now the next question is what is the best way to hook up a mouse without using the laptop?
I have wifi in the house and have an extra wifi card.
Thanks
Alan
Connecting my 600x to my flat panel

Do you mean the S-Video connection? If your TV has an S-video input (probably does), then yes, you could use that. There is no video signal carried on the serial port, but if your TV has what they often call a PC connection, meaning a 15-pin VGA port, then you could connect the computer to that and treat the TV as an external monitor. But be aware that the 600X can only output up to 1024x768 @ 24-bit, 1280x1024 @ 8-bit. This is despite the 4Mb video ram which should allow 1280x1024 @ 16-bit but low memory bandwidth limits this to 8-bit. That resolution may not match you TV very well.kingman99 wrote:Can l use the video out connector directly to the TV or better yet use

I would think a wireless USB or PS/2 mouse might work. Or you could remote control the 600X over the networkkingman99 wrote: Now the next question is what is the best way to hook up a mouse without using the laptop?

The S-video TV out route will probably be the easiest way to get an image on the TV, but it will be so blurry that you likely won't be able to read email text. If your TV supports a resolution the 600X can send it via VGA, that will be the way to go. Even though you probably can't get a wide screen resolution out of the 600X.
