Installation of Intel ProSet 13 fails

Hi Folks,

Anyone else having this problem? Installation of the new Intel Proset version 13 fails on my T400. It starts installing, but then asks me to locate the Intel Proset wireless msi file (it says that it was on a network resource which is now unavailable). When I do so, it says that it is an invalid msi file for the Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software. Strange. I've tried rebooting, etc. Now, Access Connections (v 5.33) reports the wifi link as being down, while windows shows it as being up (and it IS up).

I had a similar issue where AC would show the Wifi icon with the little red x on it despite being fully able to pull webpages through the Wifi connection.

Go to your Adapter settings under Network Connections and disable the Wireless Network Connection 2 with the subtitle Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.

thanks for the tip. what ended up fixing it was uninstalling intel proset, and then manually installing the new version.
