Update Connector missing updates?

#1 Post by Marc_G » Fri Feb 18, 2005 2:16 pm

Hi all-

I ran IBM Update Connector today, expecting it to pick up a bunch of T42P-related updates that have been posted in the last few weeks. New power management driver on 2/11, new wireless driver, presentation director, trackpoint, WinDVD update, etc..

All it picked up was one, the IBM Software Installer.

I don't have it set to automatically update, so I know that it hasn't been making these changes automatically.

Any ideas why it isn't seeing all the updates? Anything after about 2/4/2005 should be seen as new.

Yeah the updater does not pick up the newest updates. You need to perform them manually if you want the most recent updates.

Yeah. I totally agree.
IBM Update Connector = crap
Manual Updates = good.

Mine freezes at 66% but eventually will finish if I leave it alone. Still doesn't find new recent updates. Oh well, manual updates for me.
