tweaks for SSD ?

#1 Post by awallin » Sat Dec 12, 2009 4:09 am

Hi all, just got a new T400s with a 128Gb SSD in it.

Did a clean install of Win7 enterprise. How do I check that Win7 recongizes my drive as an SSD? Should I do any changes in settings for the SSD?
There's the 3 year warranty ofcourse but I still don't want silent data-corruption or similar due to excessive writing of swap/temp files on the SSD or something...

Check your defragmenter in task scheduler. If it's turned off then Windows 7 has detected the SSD and made the changes needed already. You can sit back and enjoy using your new hotness!
