X31 SSD

Can anyone recommend an SSD for my X31 and a suitable suppoler (UK). 30 gbish I was thinking. I was also thinking of running Windows 7. People have mentioned it working on X31 but has anyone noted any performance issues.

I'm running Win7 Ultimate in my X31 (details below in my signature) and I'm very happy with it. No issues with performance, it boots faster than the previous XP, (allthough I had XP in the original drive, which was slower), and I can do anything I could do with XP but faster.

Regarding SSD, there's an Irish seller called MemoryC, you have to look for a 2.5 PATA Drive, one like this: http://www.memoryc.com/storage/solidsta ... alssd.html

I don't know any seller from the UK. You may try eBay or Google...

I used a 32GB Transcend SSD in my X30 for a while. It was pretty fast and purchased from Neweggs.com. At the moment this setup is not being used a lot. Performance was noted in the Benchmark thread.

I have that same (I believe) SSD in my x31, and it's quite enjoyable. Win7 runs fine, as advertised, sans Aero.
