Hotkeys and External Keyboard

I have a Lenovo T61 running Vista 32-bit in an advanced mini dock.

My question is, can the hotkeys, such as FN-F5 to control the wireless radios, work with an external keyboard such as the Logitech MX3200?

It doesn't work for me and I wonder whether the hotkeys are strictly intended for the notebook's own keyboard. When I press FN-F5 on the Logitch keyboard nothing happens.

I am not sure whether they can work with the Fn key of the external keyboard.

But there is a Keyboard Customizer Utility from Lenovo (just Google it if you don't have it yet), which can assign special combinations on the external keyboard for most of these functions.
