X200T w/External 1600 x 1200 Monitor

#1 Post by doherrick » Sun Dec 20, 2009 3:26 pm

I have seen many references to the maximum available external monitor resolution with the X200T, always for wide screens, but I cannot find a list of all the available external resolutions by searching here, Lenovo, and Google.

Specifically, I want to know if the GMA 4500 supports 4 x 3 monitors in native resolution?
I want to use my NEC LCD2190Uxi at 1600 x 1200, DVI or VGA.

My set-up would be using the X200T with only the external monitor; no dual monitors or mirroring.

Thanks

I would guess that it should not be a problem, since I was able to connect and use two screens with even higher resolution (1920x1200) and also had no problems connecting 4:3 monitors as well (1280x1024). I have not however tried a screen with 1600x1200 resolution to my X200s.
i run linux on my thinkpad x200s; it's stable, fast, secure and it's a great way to stay in shape

Thanks maciejs.

I have been debating between a new X61T and X200T for a few weeks. I really prefer the 4x3 form, but it looks like they are history. For my needs, the X200T looks better than the X61T except for the wide screen but I can live with that so I decided to purchase the X200T and not be concerned about the external 1600 x 1200. I will only attach the X200T occasionally; the monitor is permanenly attached to the dock for my T60p, but it has 3 inputs. I will just hook up the VGA to the X200Tand see what happens.
