Re: bought from IBM directly - can exchange w/in 3 month period

I have not bought but have been looking at IBM refurbished by IBM. Besides allowing refund within 7 days, IBM allows you to exchange the notebook for another within the warranty period. Not sure if that was clear exactly from discussion. Note that this is buying IBM refurbished notebooks directly from IBM website. NOT lenovo outlet which is different. (I think OP meant IBM as I have not seen Lenovo recently selling refurbished T60p's. I could be wrong.) Obviously, ebay conditions/quality can vary tremendously.

Been there a while ago about having to buy things when only back in states for a short period. Probably better these days not to have to bet on best quality on the refurbished market when on a tight time frame. (I myself recently had to return an ebay x200 from private seller that would not boot properly and did not have xp recovery cd's as promised. Oh well. Plugging along for now on trusty t42p bought off ebay when almost new. Previously was one of last to get new t23 deal just before ebay seller absconded with $'s from later sales. First and last time I sent money order for big purchase.)

from IBM refurbished site:"If you call after seven (7) days of delivery, but within the Quality Satisfaction Guarantee time period designated on your order confirmation (either 3 months or 6 months, depending on type of equipment), an equivalent Machine selected by IBM Credit will be shipped in exchange for the original Machine."

I've had very good luck with used (on the forum) and refurbished equipment (IBM, Lenovo and Apple) over the years. Just got a refurb MacBook Pro last week that looks BRAND NEW.
