Wireless USB (WUSB) or something like that ;)
Hi guys,
How can I check, if I have this in my tablet ?
I read somewhere If I wont order Intel Turbo Memory, I will automaticaly get WUSB module. I didnt choose turbo memory because I got myself SSD, so where is it ?
I couldnt find it by pressing Fn+F5.
I think that Lenovo is very unclear about WUSB thing. I asked at Lenovos forums about this and still didnt hear any response.
Cheers

AFAIK, no Thinkpad has WUSB yet.

They offered this on T61 I guess.
For sure current generation model have this.
Take a look here:
Even X300 had it. I have no idea when X300 has been released.

Indeed I looked again and it seems like it has been an option for a while, although very few, if at all, preloaded configurations had them.
Indeed, it seems like UWB and Turbo memory are mutually exclusive, since they use the same miniPCIe slot. But it doesn't mean that you always get one or the other. Most configurations just have neither. But you can always load it aftermarket.

Hi,
Have a look at my post here http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=401943
I originally bought the WUSB card and antennas for my T61 but successfully installed the mi9n PCIe card into my X301 as it had the WUSB antennas. I then installed the Vista x64 driver and its working on Win7.
Still cant use it with anything though.

The inclusion of the card does add to resale value because from memory the card was somewhere between AUD$100-200 from IBM spare parts.
If it's not showing up under Fn+F5 you need to install the driver or it will be displayed as an unknown USB device under device manager.
Daisy is pretty awesome. That's her on my old T61.
Edit - I need to update my sig as well.

By the way ... I see that you had upgraded ram on your X301. Did you install Crucial stick ? Is it the blue one ?
Cheers

Re: Wireless USB (WUSB) or something like that ;)
They're both Lenovo branded sticks.
The system came with one 2gb stick and I ordered another 2gb as an accessory.
For some bizarre reason adding it to my CTO order was going to cost double in comparison to buying it as an accessory.
Any decent brand of ram will work fine. I've found Kingston modules to work really well with Lenovo thinpads in the past as well.
