annoying problem on T42p

hi guys,
on my T42p the quick launch disapears from the tool bar on restart,i've instaled the win xp 3 times from hidden partition and still the same problem "i love bill' incredible boy.

If the Quick Launch Bar disappears on restart directly and immediately after a complete factory-fresh re-install, then I would call IBM service. Bad preload, most likely. The other possibility to consider is that you are hiding inactive icons (properties of the task bar) and it thinks the icons haven't been used for a while. ... JD Hurst

Happened to me to. It just gets unchecked by it self somehow from (right click) start button - properties - taskbar.

That's a Windows XP Bug. Happens to me all the time whenever I install windows on a machine.
Just set it and do a restart. If it's still there after that, it will stay.

I don't know if that's related to the common XP "status bar" goes away on reset bug - sounds very similar. Are you using SP2? There's a fix included for that, and a search on the web should reveal a few workarounds. I may just help your quicklaunch problem...
