Hi,
Been with my X200T for about a week - everything seems pretty much ok.
I have searched but I still can’t work out what should be a few simple things:
1. What the hell is Fn and PgUp suppose to do? When I press it I get an onscreen displace icon of a light with a cross. I read a post of someone’s keyboard light not coming on. I have tried to reinstall hotkeys as suggested, but nothing seems to happen. What does it do when it works? Does the keyboard have a back light or something?
2. What does Fn F12 do?
3. What does Fn F8 do?
4. Is it possible to put a normal mobile sim in the laptop and use some kind of software to make calls and text message like you would do on a mobile phone?
5. How long is suppose to take for the GPS to lock – it’s freezing outside and I give up after about 2mins.
6. Is anyone else annoyed if you look between the hinge and screen you can see wires! This really should have been in some kind of sleeve.
7. I bought a screen protector but it has not arrived yet. Could the pen ever scratch the screen?
8. what does the sideways Z in the circle mean? It's on and always has been
Thanks

Re: Fn Keys
Fn+PgUp on non-tablet models is supposed to toggle the ThinkLight, a small LED in the display frame that illuminates the keyboard. The tablet models don't have a thinklight.rmim wrote: 1. What the hell is Fn and PgUp suppose to do?
Assuming you're on a windows system with all the ThinkVantage tools installed, Fn+F12 = suspend to disk, Fn+F8 brings up the Trackpoint properties.2. What does Fn F12 do?
3. What does Fn F8 do?
That's the power led. You did get a manual with your thinkpad, didn't you ?8. what does the sideways Z in the circle mean? It's on and always has been

Re: Fn Keys
Ah – thank you very much frankausmtank,That's the power led. You did get a manual with your thinkpad, didn't you ?
I would have been there a very long time with Fn PgUp – yes I do have the tablet model, so you say it not suppose to work with that? Shame they put the blue symbol on the PgUp key, even greater shame it actually brings up an on screen display making u think it suppose to do something.
Thanks for F12.
F8 should have been easy, I could have just pressed it.
As for the sideways Z - would never have guessed it. I have never seen that kind of symbol representing power. And no, I have no manual – I tried to look for an online manual but could not find that either. Maybe there's one in the box, not sure.
Thanks once again.
