As I suffered from the known X200 (X30x?) screen garbage problem in Win 7, and was pulling my hair out.
The problem every time after re-docking and waking up from sleep or hibernate, sometimes also even just when waking up outside dock.
Here I am posting the solution once for all:
As of today, the problem is with the newest Intel drivers (I think they are also available via Windows Update); I mean driver version 8.15.10.1968.
The solution is to remove this driver completely and force reinstall of older drivers (version 8.15.10.1855) from Lenovo site. After install, your monitor will be washed out - default gamma setting is messed. Open the Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver for Mobile Tray Program and reset the gamma setting to default (I think 2.0).
Since then, the garbage never appears again, and also problems with Win 7 BSOD after the screen being switched off in power-saving modes.
Hope this helps. X200 (particularly my X200t) are such nice machines and shouldn't be plagues with such stupid problems.

Re: X200 (X30x?) screen garbage - SOLVED
That's fantastic news - I'm going mad with the same issues on my X200. I had rolled back to the prior drivers but threw my hands up in disgust when I had the screen wash-out issue. I'll retry now.akarts wrote:As I suffered from the known X200 (X30x?) screen garbage problem in Win 7, and was pulling my hair out.

I have been having crash problems with suspend operations - I wonder if that's related to the power savings mode comments you made.
What an absolute failure of quality management Intel and Lenovo are having with this x4500 chipset and drivers. I had sworn off Intel integrated solutions years ago but after some decent press on "reasonable" performance out of the 4500 had decided to give it a try. Fool me twice...
