Mimicking EasyEject...?

#1 Post by loyukfai » Sat Jan 02, 2010 12:32 pm

By using the method mentioned at http://www.neilturner.me.uk/2007/04/05/ ... ve_ha.html and various other places, it's possible to create a Shortcut which brings up the Safely Remove Hardware dialog window.

However, one cannot configure the shortcut key as Fn-F9, because Windows doesn't seem to be able to recognize the "Fn" key.

Any simple and elegant workarounds?

Cheers.

You can try the Lenovo keyboard customizer. Last I checked it is for Vista or earlier only, but it will install on W7. Personally I just click on the safely remove hardware icon in the system tray.
