EDIT: No longer available - it's already spoken for - but I'll have more things to give away in the future...

I haven't used it for years, and it's time to give it a new home. It's free if you pick it up from my office in Manhattan; otherwise $100 for the trouble of packing and shipping (US lower 48 states only):

ThinkPad 600x, 600MHz, 512MB RAM, 20 GB hard disk, near-mint condition, with updated Windows 2K installed. Battery completely dead.

Comes with basically every UltraslimBay module and add-on ever made: 24X CD-ROM, second HDD adapter, floppy drive, 100MB Zip drive, third-party (non-IBM) CDRW/DVD, portable drive bay, external bay for floppy drive, many cables including TV out cables and external keyboard-mouse adapter.

Also: a stack of system-restore CDs for Windows 98 and 2000 and every other IBM 600-related CD you can think of, plus a stack of floppies with various utilities and the boot-screen personalization software.

Also: the printed manual and other printed information.

Also, for the greatest possible elegance: a Sony 802.11b/g card with a compact antenna that extends only a few millimeters from the case, and a 3Com 10/100 LAN card with x-jack, so the whole package includes networking with no ugly extensions.

Also: spare screws, drive caddy, and miscellaneous parts, including an external battery charger - too many things even to count.

Also: a 650MHz CPU which I never installed.

I think the CMOS battery may be dead, because the machine tends to power up with date/time errors even after I set the date and time. You may want to replace the CMOS battery to avoid this annoyance.

Please give this stuff a good home. Remember, free for the asking if you'll pick it up in Manhattan. Otherwise $100 for packing and shipping.
