Sorry if this has been posted before but I have found a web page where you can download the IBM font:

http://www.fontspace.com/category/IBM

The best one is the "Men In Blue" one

Thanks!!!!

according to our friends at Wikipedia.org, the current (one thats been used since 1972) IBM font is ment to look "speedy" and "dynamic".
Wikipedia IBM article wrote:The striped logo was first used in 1967, and fully replaced the solid logo by 1972. The horizontal stripes suggesting "speed and dynamism."

yeah looks realistic, take it you extract file(s) to C:\Windows\fonts (in vista?)

those IBM inspired fonts are great for IBM and their logo but really hard to read..
and IMO the main objective of a font is readability..

...So you got the font to work then... becuase when I extracted into C:\Windows\fonts and then went onto Word I couldn't find the font, do you have to reboot or something, or does Word not look for fonts in the "fonts" folder?

Hold on I will have a look sorry about that.

I just tested and what you have to do is download the font file to your downloads folder then extract it to where ever you like then open that folder and open the C:\Windows\fonts and then drag the extracted font over from the extracted folder to the fonts folder then it should work.

Hope this helps!!!!

it's just a folder on my PC where I store all the pictures/screenshots of my Thinkpads that go onto photobucket and then onto here. The picture i posted a link to is located in that folder.

sounds good...
Btw, I'm just working out how you get this font to work with XP.

How to get this font to work with XP
1) Go to site and download the ZIP folder, save it to anywhere on your desktop.
2) Make a folder called "downloads" in My Documents or C:\ drive or somewhere.
3) Extract the file to that folder called Downloads
4) Drag the file into C:\WINDOWS\Fonts. When you do this it'll install the font.
5) Open up your word processor or text editor and see if it's worked - it worked for me! (I have XP on the ThinkPad and Vista on the ThinkPad, also have a XP Virtual Machine in Vista.)
http://i730.photobucket.com/albums/ww30 ... ntinxp.jpg

So basically do what you do for Vista ONLY in XP you have to create the Downloads folder.

Just be aware that if you are using Office 2007 (applies to XP / Vista) like I am, if you make the text too big (ie - size 72 +), then if you press the Enter key to get onto the next line, it will put your settings in Office 2007 mode. Now in Office 2007 mode, when you enter to get onto the next line, it skips a line, now to solve this what you can do is go to the toolbar at the top and in the top right hand corner there is a button called Change Styles, click on that, and then go to Style Set, and click on Word 2003 and then set as default, that should solve any problems.
