t400 volume buttons sometimes don't respond

Hi Folks,

I've had my T400 for a while now, and I keep the software updated. I've recently started having problems with the volume buttons: sometimes they don't work for a minute or so, and I have to wait to try to turn down/up/mute the volume until the system decides it wants to respond again. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas to resolve it?

I'm bumping this, since I've recently installed windows 7, and I'm *still* having these problems. I'm wondering if perhaps there's a way to elevate the priority of the process handling volume controls so they're always functioning. Anyone know if there's a process that handles the volume controls?
