A really, really stupid question.
A really, really stupid question.
I know I could easily be perceived as a moron for even asking this, but I have several laptops, and somehow lost track of which AC cord (the section that plugs into the outlet and then into the brick) cam with my 3 week old T42. The one I think came with it says "Longwell" on it. I assume that's the brand name.
At any rate, I know it probably doesn't make a difference, because it's a universal part, but can others here let me know whether it says Longwell on theirs?
Thanks.

I should have thought to search "Longwell" before posting this question. Sorry.

My T41 cable says Longwell on it. I also use a spare Toshiba cable with it (I leave the cord in one of my client offices). So long as the cord is in good electrical condition, I don't think it makes any difference.
One area of concern: If you can sort them out, do so. Why? You may want to travel with the Laptop, and if you have a 100-240V adapter (most likely), you want a cord rated for 750V peak voltage (240V RMS x 3 = 700V or more peak to peak). It is possible that one of your cords is only rated for 120V.

It says 125V right on the cord, so I should be good, right?
Good locally. I know I have the cord that came with the adapter. It is a 100-240V adapter, and the cord says right on it: 300V (I'm sure they mean RMS voltage). I would *not* use a cord rated at 125V overseas as it would be a potential safety hazard. Basically, I don't think you have found the cord that came with your adapter. ...
