Is the bluetooth chipset on hte motherboard itself?

X200, X201, X220 (including equivalent tablet models) and X300, X301 series specific matters only.

Is the bluetooth chipset on hte motherboard itself?

recently I took my x200 tablet in for repair to see why it wouldnt charge the battery anymore. they replaced my systemboard.
however. my bluetooth seems to have disappeared.
I can't find it in device manager and the driver won't instlal/reinstall

is it possible they ordered the wrong part

The Bluetooth module is in the LCD. What happens if you hit Fn-F5 on the keyboard and turn on the Bluetooth radio?

When you say it is in the LCD, do you mean physically within it, as in can't be installed after the computer has left the factory without significant cost (assume I am a person who can disassemble the laptop into its individual parts and put it all back together)?

EDIT: Nevermind. I just remembered that this is the little card located beneath the LCD but behind the bezel.
