how to determine auitable Hardisk for Ultrabay?

#1 Post by malnitz » Fri Jan 08, 2010 1:25 am

Hi

I want to install an extra Hdd in my ultrabay (to be used for dual boot).

How do I determine whether a harddisk is suitable?

Is there a limited to how big the harddisk can be in terms of Gigabyte?

In the Ultrabay SATA adapter any 2.5" 9mm SATA hard disk that fits your budget is suitable.
Many Forum users advise against the WD Scorpio Black 500GB, due to severe vibrations.
Personally I also advise against Toshiba drives.
