primary hard drive change?

i recently bought a UltraBay Slim 2nd Hard Disk Drive caddy with my new purchased 120GB sata ssd hard drive( which is faster and more capacity) , i want to use this hard drive from the caddy as a primary hard drive , and dont want to use the old stock pata hard drive , can i remove the old hard drive, just put the cover back and run the new hard drive in the ultrabay as primary hard drive ? is it possible? anyone tried that before? please help, thank a lot

Yes, just remove the IDE hard drive from boot order in BIOS and put the Ultrabay SATA drive on top in boot order.
