Warranty question?

I am going to buy used ThinkPad T42 2374-A60. The model # is 9936-DYA. how can I checked the warranty (IWS) status? I go to http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... arranty.vm but when I enter the type # (9936) it is sad that "Input Invalid". Can somebody explain me what I do wrong or, pls, check the warranty for me.
