Keyboard Deflection

#1 Post by T60Warrior » Wed Jan 13, 2010 4:04 pm

Dear all,

I just got myself a T60 2007-6RG, and it is a pretty impressive machine over the week or so that I have used it. However, there is one issue that I noticed with the keyboard. When I hit the "Esc" or "F1" key, the upper left corner of the keyboard creaks and deflects.

I took a quick video to illustrate the problem:

The force that I used to push on the surrounds was no greater than ordinary typing force. I would be grateful if anyone could advice me if this is normal, or if something is broken/bent/loose beneath the keyboard.

Thank you :)

My T61p does this a little. I'm not sure whether it's normal, or if I'm missing a bracket/brace or something. The CPU fan is directly under that corner.
