keyboard, FRU part #?

My keyboard FRU part # is 08k4986. I found on http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-46503 only part # that starts with 08k5***. Which keyboard do I have Thai or Chicony?
I also searched for HDD and it is said HGST. What does this mean?

Are you looking for an English keyboard?

HGST means Hitachi Global Storage Group.

HGST provides most of the HDs found in ThinkPad laptops at the moment.

When I got to the partLook result section for my t42 (2374-a60. 9936DYA)
it is written: Mfg part # 08K4957 FRU part #08K4986 Description KEYBOARD - US ENGLISH. Is it Thai?

The KB for your laptop is 08K5044.

08K4986 was the original FRU for your keyboard. The # has changed.

The new FRU # for your US English KB is 08K5044.

They're under $40 from IBM (plus shipping).

What is wrong with your current keyboard?

If you call EZServe and tell them yours is acting up they will likely just ship one out to you and you will have it tomorrow morning (well, depending on your location and IBM's inventory- but i have had no problem ordering 8K5044s..)

I hate to burst your bubble, but I am pretty sure your kbd is made in China. 08K4986 is the part # for the chinese kbd. The Thai is the other #, 08K5044.
