Screen flashes only when using trackpad scroll button

Hi,

Wondering if anyone else experiences this quirk in Windows 7. I am using a T60 with X1400 video -- drivers updated. I previously used the Win 7 beta and experienced the same thing.

Basically, if I am scrolling a web page by holding down the "middle"/scroll button (above the trackpad, between the upper left and right buttons) and dragging the trackpoint, sometimes the screen will go black and refresh and redraw. It takes a few seconds for the screen to redraw to normal, but otherwise everything continues working fine. It's just a brief interruption. Also, it seems to happen randomly, I never know when to expect it.

Not a huge problem, but still, it never did this under Vista. Any ideas?

i havent had that issue, i'm using t61 and current drivers from Lenovo. I know i was having a problem with IE8 when i was using vista and xp, evertime i closed the browser, the whole screen went black and came back

I just had something like this happen in Windows 7. I was scrolling an email message in SeaMonkey using the trackpoint middle button when suddenly the display went completely black for several seconds. It came back, disappeared again, then was redrawn. I noticed while all this was going on, the hard disk light was very active - even for some seconds after the display came back.

One time I got a error window saying that the video driver had detected a hang and restarted itself.
