New On Screen Display bars

#1 Post by Colonel O'Neill » Thu Jan 14, 2010 11:49 pm

The new OSD looks nice and all, but it seems there is no longer a way to change the size of the volume/brightness boxes. Also, the volume/brightness bars are no longer delimited; it's more difficult to visually guess-timate where you are without looking at the number.

Is it possible to somehow reshack (if it even uses a bitmap for the bar) the bar to have delimiters again?

Also, the foreground/background/fadeout options under the OSD tab in the Advanced Options of Screen Resolution don't do anything... I really want to just have it disappear instantly rather than fade away.

EDIT: The foreground/background/fade settings work after restarting... Still can't find a bitmap for the bar in reshacker. :(

Are you talking about Windows 7 ? If yes, then this is in the wrong forum. let me know and I will move it.

This is the new On Screen Display program that I downloaded from Lenovo: http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/9356/17664082.png

I'm not sure if this is exactly a Windows 7 only issue; I assume this is also relevant to Vista and perhaps XP.
