Greetings,

I'm Dejan from Slovenia and here is mine collection of ThinkPads :-)

My first TP was R51e, then i got R61i (i managed to fry motherboard twice :-)) and few weeks ago i got X61s :-))

Setup,

R50e:
1.4 Celeron
512MB Ram
40GB disk

R61i:
intel T7300
2GB Ram
80GB Disk

X61s:
intel L7700
4GB Ram
4GB sd card for readyboost
500GB Disk
Waiting for 2nd hdd ultrabay to put 160gb in ultrabase, so then i'll have cca 660gb

X61 is used as my main PC

You run Windows 7 on 512MB RAM?? How does it perform?
I bet that X61s is fast with 4GB RAM and a 4GB SD card Readyboost!

R50e is used only for Opera and IE (for one web site) by my dad, it works fine, boot time is little longer but that's not problem. I've disabled all graphic effects and other candies :-)

I was upgrading R61i for me, (i got T7300, 4gbram, 500gb disk) but then i fired motherboard and i can't use external monitor (which is must-have for me)

So I've decided for x61s and use all components from r61 that i can (ram disk) + i found sd card that i'm not using in camera :-) Yep, its pretty fast
