Anyone heard of the T410si??
Check out Lenovo's site: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 72739.html
Thoughts?
T410si
Re: T410si
Check out page 66 of the latest tabook.pdf
http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/tabook.pdf
looks like it has a lower end processer (i3-330) not sure what else.

Re: T410si
There is also a T410i. I don't see it in the tabook but it is in the T410 HMM:

Not sure what the difference is but the parts list in the HMM lists i3 CPUs so it might be one of the things.
BTW, I didn't know the HMMs are already available. Always a nice thing to know how these machines are built inside.
Some things I noticed about T410 which I'm interested in:
1. Easy access to most parts. A one-screw-held cover on the bottom reveals three things - one RAM slot, WWAN full-size miniPCI-Express card and the keyboard screw. Taking the keyboard off we get access to the second RAM stick and half-sized WLAN card.
2. ExpressCard/34 has a dummy bank bezel instead of a nice trapdoor - a step backwards I would say.
3. The keyboard bezel and palmrest are a single part now, held using freaking 13 screws - a good thing if it helps eliminate any play between parts though.
4. Bluetooth card is now under the right palmrest, not in the LCD assembly. Not sure if there are any antennas but my guess would be no.
5. HDD is under the left palmrest now.
6. A slim SmartCard reader (or contactless SmartCard reader) is on top of the HDD. Models without one have a dummy spacer screwed in there which will hopefully eliminate creaks and play.
7. Modem daughter card (MDC) is under the left palmrest.
8. Speakers aren't as big as one might think looking at the pictures. They are rather small and aligned with the top of the keyboard.
9. There are different cooling fans for integrated and switchable models, as expected.
10. GPU is located right next to the DisplayPort. Next to it is the CPU. Integrated models have no GPU chip.
