x301 277 MSU

#1 Post by Lupin » Sat Jan 23, 2010 2:34 pm

Hi guys, I registered to the forum because I'm thinking about buying a Thinkpad x301. Dou you think that the following is a good deal?

http://www.logicbuy.com/deals/lenovo-th ... 17934.aspx

or should I look for a refurbished model in the outlet? Is the difference between 1.4 and 1.6 that big? I will use the laptop for basic office, matlab and other statistics software.

Thanks

I think that's an incredible deal. Go for it before tomorrow when it ends. You would not notice a difference between a 1.4 and 1.6Ghz Core 2 Duo for what you are doing with the machine.

I bought that laptop :)

It works beautifully and you wont be able to notice a difference between the 1.4 and 1.6 processors. The 5400rpm hdd is not bad, coming from an X41-t.
you also should consider that it comes with a DVD drive AND a 6-cell battery!!

Incredible deal, I would highly recommend it
X301 - C2D SU9400 (1.4ghz), 4GB DDR3, Intel X18-M G2 , W7 64bit
X41 Tablet - PM 758 (1.5ghz), 1.5gb DDR2, 60gb 4200rpm, XP Pro
