Are third-party compatible Chinese batteries any good?

Keep in mind, the OEM battery says, "Made in China" on it so that's why I'm asking.

Are those half-price brand new with free shipping compatible X61 batteries sold on eBay by Hong Kong vendors any good?

I've read that because it's non-OEM, that a warning message pops up in Windows often to tell you it's not OEM. Is this true? Can it be disabled?

Aloha, scottkeen!

There is an extended discussion about batteries in a thread very close to this one (currently immediately below it):
Genuine Lenovo Batteries vs. Generic Replacement?

Please review comments there before creating a new thread.
