15.6 HD+ 1600x900 screen impressions

Hello

I am interested in the above screen. I have difficulties finding info about it on the internet, and here where i live there is no way to check out the display before buying.

It would be really helful if you can share some info about your t510/w510 screen

Is it better than previous generation 16:10 screen(contast and color)?
How can it compare with macbook pro 15''?

I ordered a T510 with the display you're interested in. I'm expecting it to arrive mid week. Once I have it set up and tested, I plan on doing a review to post on the forum. I also have a T500 & new 15" Unibody MacBook Pro, so I plan to line them up side by side for a display comparison. I will report back on that comparison as well.

Wow. That will be very cool

I'm hoping to switch back to thinkpad if the screen is at least half as good as I expected. I have a 15'' uMBP now. It's a great computer, but it's not a thinkpad

I also like Macs and have been using PowerBooks, now MacBook Pros as my secondary laptop of choice for over a decade. And yet, you said it best, it's _not_ a Thinkpad. Go to the thread "your first thinkpad" that is posted here. Read my history and that will give you an idea of my ThinkPad experience. I'd post the link, however I'm writing this from my BlackBerry. I've done a lot of research on the 510's and can say with certainty, they're a huge improvement over the T500's which are good, just not great. The 510 is the one.
