2nd HDD adapter

#1 Post by mjmeyerpa » Tue Feb 22, 2005 9:39 pm

I recently added an HDD adapter and 60GB drive to the Ultrabay 2000 on my A30 (2652-34U) using Windows 2K. Install went fine, device shows up under system devices as IBM ThinkPad Ultrabay Plus Carriage. Problem is, I don't know what to do next. How do I format and access the hard drive? Thanks in advance for your help!

That's too easy.....I tried that, but the drive shows up nowhere? My C (main HDD) and D (dvd drive) show, but no reference to the new drive?

Problem solved....I had to go into disk management to name and format the drive. All is good now. Thanks
