More accurate: Lenovo is axing T series, rebranding R series into T series (no monitor cage, Ultrabay Enhanced instead of slim) and creating cheaper L series.

I must admit that I don't track TP line like I used to before, but this whole naming practice (and specs/category) is just confusing me...

I mean SL and now L; i know it is not out yet, but they will probably be very similar (probably no glossy materials in L)...

Edge and x100e...whatever...

X30x and T410s...the latter is more similar to X than T series (and even Lenovo thinks so; look at the slide picture in the link), and if it's in ultraportable category, then call it Xsomething 14"/p...

Is it just me, or you guys have similar thoughts?

beGi, About you not liking the new ThinkPad line, I'm sure you'll get over it. I mean, It just keeps getting better (at least in my opinion). So yes, I think that it's just you and that's because everyone has their own opinions.

About the R series and L series, at least I now know that the R series is not going away but rather is going to be renamed the L series. I was so sad when I first heard that the R series was going away.

Let's be accurate.

1) Ultrabay Enhanced is only in 15" T series. 14" still uses Ultrabay Slim.

2) Ultrabay Enhanced typically has more and better drive options. Not a down side in my opinion.

3) Most of the T series had no LCD rollcage, only T61 and Tx00 had it. Not having the rollcage still does not mean that the product is unworthy of the T brand.
