X61 series + sxga+ + BIOS mod

Does anyone HAVE a solution on the BIOS?
Is there a never modified version than the: Korea_1.16 sxga+1804+SLIC one?
Maybe there is someone who will write a guide on HEX modifications.
Anything would be helpful and very appreciated.

Obviously the SXGA+ mod is fairly involved, and there is a large risk of damaging the display if done incorrectly.

A few reliability type questions,...
