Hei
Switched from Windows 7 Ultimate RC to retail Windows 7 Ultimate.
Everything is working great. But the machine get's so hot.
This didn't happen when i was using the RC edition.
The wholde middle to left side of the machine gets hot.
The right side with the wifi card and ssd don't get hot at all.
The fan is constantly on now.
I can't have the computer on my lap, get's to hot.
This is weird. Is there some kind of power manager or something i have to install?
I checked CPU-Z and Speedstep is working. The cpu clocks down to aroundt 997mhz.
Anybody experienced the same?
This didn't happen under XP og Ubuntu.
X60 gettin hot after installing win7 ultimate retail.

Yes you should run Lenovo System Update to get your drivers and if you turn off Aero transparency that'll help keep it cooler. I see a 10C increase in GPU temps with it on.
