no start up

no start up

new guy with a problem,got a think pad t43p as it starts to boot up it shows the IBM logo page for a few seconds then screen goes out any ideas

Welcome to the forum!

Is the screen reddish/pinkish on initial boot?

Does the machine shut off entirely or it's just the LCD that dies down?

Do you have an external monitor that you could hook it up to?

the screen looks normal displays IBM thinkpadw/ cintrino sign for 2 or 3 seconds then goes out,wont do any thing else I tryed with another monitor same thing. any ideas

UPDATE- removed memory stick,seems to be working fine now??????
