Will any Bluetooth dongle work with a Thinkpad?

Will any Bluetooth dongle, like those on Amazon, plugged into a desktop PC network with a Bluetoothed Thinkpad or do you need something proprietary? The T43 driver is a Widcomm 3.0.1.917.

I never found one that doesn't work, so chances are extremely good

For networking, I would always use wifi instead of bluetooth. Faster, easier to setup, less headache in the long run.
