Rescue and Recovery

#1 Post by puma » Wed Feb 10, 2010 8:33 am

I have a t500 with windows 7 ultimate. When i go to run R&R to create a base image, it goes all the way to 100% and says finalizing, then that screen disappears and it just sits at 100% saying it has 0 seconds left... hangs. Thn explorer hang and it needs a hard reboot. Anyone else have this issue with Thinkvantage Rescue and Recovery?
Thanks MI

Can't think of a reason unless the recovery partition is corrupt or is missing an update. Try using the Recovery Media (CD's) that you created when you first powered up the machine.

Try restoring the whole machine from the disks you mean? I dont want to do that took too long to set this machine up. And I am doing the backup image to an ext USB hard drive.

So I just thought of something, I went to uninstall the R&R software and then reinstall in a last ditch effort. When I went to reinstalll I noticed it asked me to suspend the bitlocker which i have enabled. Do I have to suspend bitlocker WHILE i take a backup maybe?
