Yep, I just got an email from elder daughter on her T40 (Obligatory Thinkpad content!) who is enroute on the TGV from Brussels to Paris to meet She Who Must Be Obeyed for an extended weekend. I hope that the Boss doesn't develop a case of wanderlust now that she's joined the ranks of the unemployed!ian wrote:Or of course you could move to France - I'm serious - we have WiFi access on our main-line (well, TGV) trains...jmagbita wrote:I know i can get on if i find a wi-fi spot, but if i'm on the train...
Is that actually illegal in France? I didn't think so after seeing all those TIP trucks equipped with TVs, GPS displays, etc. in the cabs! All too common to pass one of them and see the driver's attention rivetted to whatever's on the screen.ian wrote:Driving around, however, is not advised - our traffic cops get extremely shirty when they spot anyone using a mobile phone in a car - imagine the situation if you were actually playing Counterstrike in a traffic jam!
