Wifi N on Thinkpad R50

#1 Post by Passa » Sun Feb 14, 2010 1:30 pm

Hi guys. I have a Thinkpad R50 which sports an intel mini pci wireless card that does a/b/g connections.

I'm upgrading the home to a wifi n network and need to know if there's a way I can get wifi n on the R50! I've heard I can't just buy any mini pci wifi n card and expect it to work.

What card should I be looking at?
Lenovo ThinkPad X201 // i5-520M // 8GB RAM // Samsung 830 256GB SSD // 9-cell battery // Windows 8.1 Pro

I have this card in my R50. It works nicely. I've been quite happy with it.
You can see my post and a few suggestions from sjthinkpadder about it here: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=72343
