T30 and an LCD issue

#1 Post by jronald » Sun Feb 14, 2010 3:14 pm

My uBuntu T30 has died. Goes into Bios fine on an external monitor. LCD as installed just flickers. Swapped the inverter and no difference. Odd thing on the external monitor is uBuntu wants to reconfigure the Video adapter, but no matter what I tell it to do, it cant re-configure it. Swapped the LCD to a know good machine, and it goes into bios with no issues. SO its got to be the LCD cable or the MoBo.
What have I missed?

From my limited knowledge, it sounds like you're on the right path. I had a similar problem and swapped the cable and motherboard (neither fixed it), haven't tried the inverter (Didn't even occur to me, I may try this.) and haven't swapped the LCD. I just use the machine as a NAS box right now.
